About the event

A message from the host, Shannan Hanson:

As I’ve been moving through my own menopause journey, I've encountered a mix of symptoms I didn’t even realize were part of this stage of life. Along the way, one thing has become crystal clear: while we are starting to see more education, there is a lack of local community where we can share, learn, and support each other.

Over the past few years, I’ve immersed myself in books, podcasts, and conversations to understand how others are navigating this time. But I know I’m not alone in wanting more connection, more understanding, and more open dialogue. This isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a call for us to come together, to lean on each other, and to embrace this journey as a community.

To open the meeting I'll share my journey and what I've learned about perimenopause symptoms, the impact it can have on women both personally and professionally, and strategies for managing it. I hope this will be a safe place where we can share our stories, our challenges, and our successes, so none of us have to go through it alone.
